Play. Learn. Grow.

Infants

Here at ICDC we not only provide your infant with the proper care and nurturing environment but also daily activities to support their developmental needs. We use the Frog Street curriculum and Lap-BK assessment for their developmental needs.

Toddlers

As toddlers, we learn through our senses and experiences.  In our two toddler classrooms, we begin our day with large group time (through music, movement and interactions with our peers) as well as learn literacy and math.

  • Frog Street curriculum guided hands-on activities such as art, science, sensory experiences, music, library, circle time and more.

  • Safe diapering, eating, and sleeping routines that help support early independence. Children also begin their potty-training journey with the partnership of families during their time in this class.

  • Loving, nurturing, and qualified teachers.

  • Child sized furniture and diverse selection of toys and centers to support play and learning opportunities.

  • Themed lessons that introduce children to concepts such as weather, life cycles, emotions, sharing, animals, food, and more.

Pre-K3

As the children arrive each morning, they play in all different centers available.  Our school day officially begins at 8:00 a.m. where the children have the opportunity to sit down for large group experience. This is where the children learn rhyming, repetition, language & literacy, number/letter recognition, and plan for the day.

In addition to our curriculum, our teachers are learning Love and Logic, a caring approach to helping children work through difficult emotions, mistakes, and experiences that is centered around building caring and respectful relationships between students and caregivers.

We use the Frog Street curriculum and Lap-BK assessment for their developmental needs.

Pre-K4

We are proud of our Alabama First Class OSR Pre-K4 program.  As the children arrive each morning, they eat and play in all different centers available.  Our school day officially begins at 7:30 a.m. where the children have the opportunity to sit down for large group experience. This is where the children learn rhyming, repetition, language & literacy, number/letter recognition, and plan for the day.

TS Gold Assessments are performed throughout the school year to help teachers and parents identify what your child loves to learn about and what areas of development they are growing in. Parent-teacher conferences are offered in the spring for our preschool families.

Our Approach

Immanuel child development encourages kids to explore their interests and ask their own questions. It focuses on developing a child's unique sense of creativity not just through artistic expression, but in how they learn new concepts and solve problems. The technique dictates that teachers, instead of telling the child exactly what they have to do, should observe more passively, giving the child the space to learn and grow in his or her own way.
